Artist Statement
Stefanie Schwarzwimmer is an artist and graphic designer. Schwarzwimmer is interested in the life and death, the circulation and virality of images. In her work she specifically deals with the speculative potential of 3D renderings, creating computer-generated low-key fiction moments, that appear photographic and therefore somewhat evidential. She mostly builds virtual interiors out of memories, mixed with projections, media imagery, and elements of pop culture, that serve as stages for slightly altered strings of reality.
